ComfortMaker Average Price Range
Get a quick estimate on the cost of an ComfortMaker furnace with our calculator.
$3,000 – $5,500 (including installation)
Seasonal promotions, distributor deals, and rebates from the government or utility companies make it difficult to provide an exact price point.
Other factors, such as the model you choose, the location and size of your home, as well as specific aspects of your installation, will also influence the final cost of your unit.
A final thing that will impact cost is the furnace tier you choose, because Comfortmaker, like most HVAC manufacturers, has three separate furnace tiers. Tier will determine price range, but also the number of features your furnace has and what the warranty terms are like.
The higher the tier, the more you’ll pay, and the more you’ll get in terms of features and warranties. Here’s what you can expect to pay for Comfortmaker furnaces in the three tiers:
- Entry-level models: $3,000 – $3,665
- Mid-range models: $3,665 – $4,330
- Top-tier models: $4,330– $5,500+
ComfortMaker Furnace Model Series Overview
The grades are based on our proprietary algorithm which compares a variety of criteria to make it easy to compare models across brands. Note that models with lower grades aren’t necessarily a bad choice, as lower cost models tend to have more basic features, warranty coverage, or efficiency ratings, which lowers the grade relative to more expensive models.

Basic – PerformanceⓇ Series
Comfortmaker’s Performance Series represents the brand’s most affordable range of products. They’re budget-friendly and will deliver efficient warmth for your entire home.
They're also backed by industry-standard warranties, but they don’t have any additional features and technologies that some brands offer with their entry-level furnaces, and none of these models are ENERGY STAR rated.
Performance series furnaces are single-stage units that promise quiet and reliable performance.
However, they're also equipped with secondary heat exchangers and more advanced ECM blower motors, and this makes them more efficient and sophisticated than the most basic furnace models on the market.
Better – QuietComfort Series
Comfortmaker currently only has one mid-range furnace on offer, and that is the QuietComfort G96VTN. The QuietComfort series recently replaced the SoftSound series, at which time Comfortmaker discontinued many of their mid-range models.
The G96VTN is a reliable and affordable two-stage furnace with a variable-speed blower motor, RPJ primary heat exchanger, and secondary heat exchanger, so it might not come as a surprise that this model has an excellent 96 percent AFUE rating and ENERGY STAR certification.
Best – Ion Series
At the same time that Comfortmaker updated their mid-range series, so too did they update their top-tier SoftSound Deluxe series and replace it with the Ion series.
Ion series furnaces are the most advanced ones that Comfortmaker offers, and there are two-stage and modulating models available.
The furnaces in this tier are the only ones that are compatible with the Ion System Control, a smart thermostat that you can use to remotely control the temperature, ventilation, and humidity levels in your home.

ComfortMaker Top Models Comparison
Ion™ 98 - G97CMN
The Ion 98 - G97CMN recently replaced Comfortmaker’s top-of-the-line model, so it’s the most sophisticated and expensive furnace they make. This is an advanced modulating furnace, meaning it promises the most efficient fuel consumption while also maintaining your ideal comfort levels. The variable-speed ECM blower motor further improves efficiency, and it also reduces noise, improves air quality, and lowers maintenance requirements. This is one of the only Comfortmaker furnaces that’s compatible with the Ion System Control, so you can monitor the system and adjust the settings remotely from anywhere in the world. Finally, this unit is backed by an industry-leading warranty that will protect your investment for many years.

The ultra-low nitrogen oxide emissions mean this furnace will help reduce your impact on the planet without you having to sacrifice your comfort or your budget. ComfortMaker Exclusive Features
Feature 1 – Ion™ System Control
Comfortmaker’s Ion™ System Control is a smart thermostat that gives the homeowner complete command of their system’s operation.
Remote Wi-Fi operation allows the user to precisely control their furnace from anywhere in the world to save money and increase efficiency.
The Ion™ System Control can be used to manage your zones, control and adjust the temperature, tweak humidity and ventilation settings, program several comfort settings for different days of the week and different times of day, track and monitor performance, and optimize energy use.
Unfortunately, only Comfortmaker’s top-tier furnaces are compatible with this technology.
Feature 2 – RPJⓇ Heat Exchanger
The advanced RPJⓇ (Rigid Press Joint) is Comfortmaker’s proprietary heat exchanger.
It’s different from regular heat exchangers because it has an interlocking clamshell design rather than welds, and this improves heat transfer and efficiency while also reducing cracks and increasing the durability of the component.
