Features Overview
Humiditrol compatibility: The XC13 is compatible with the Humiditrol whole-home dehumidification system, and this means your cooling system won’t have to work as hard to keep your home comfortable. Along with making your house cooler on even the most humid days, the humidity control also means you'll get a longer life from your air conditioner and reduce your cooling bills.
Scroll compressor: The scroll is a more advanced compressor design that allows the XC13 to operate efficiently and quietly, so you can always count on your cooling system to keep your home at the right temperature without any excessive noise.
iComfort compatibility: The iComfort is a programmable touchscreen thermostat that makes cooling your home a breeze. Not only is it easy to use, but you can also use the iComfort to keep different temperature settings throughout the day, saving you money while also guaranteeing your comfort.
Other Key Features
- Quiet operation thanks to the sound-dampening system, a specially designed and balanced direct-drive fan, and a scroll compressor that operates with minimal noise and vibrations
- Increased efficiency from the engineered outdoor coil that reduces air resistance and enhances heat transfer
- Lesser environmental impact because of the chlorine-free R-410A refrigerant that doesn’t deplete the ozone
- Corrosion- and rust-resistance from the PermaGuard cabinet and SmartHinge louver design, which also provide ease of access when the system requires maintenance
Warranty Information
Every air conditioner in Lennox’s Elite series comes with a parts warranty and a compressor warranty. The limited warranty for the compressor lasts 10 years. The standard limited warranty for covered components lasts five years, but you're eligible for the extended 10-year warranty if you register the unit after installation.
Comparable Models by Lennox
Model Comparison by Price: Lennox XC13 versus Lennox XC25
The XC25 is Lennox’s top product offering, so the price difference between it and the XC13 is substantial. In fact, if you're on a tighter budget and looking for a more economical model, the XC13 could save you $1,000 to $2,000 versus the models in the Lennox premium lineup. But as a result of the bigger price tag, the XC25 has more bells and whistles, a more efficient compressor, a higher efficiency rating, and comes with a standard 10-year warranty for components and the compressor.
Model Comparison by Features: Lennox XC13 versus Lennox XC16
The XC16 is similarly from the Elite series, but it’s definitely a few steps ahead of the XC13 in terms of features. One of the major differences is that the XC16 is equipped with a multi-stage compressor instead of a single-stage one, and this means it will keep your home at a more even temperature and have a higher efficiency rating.
Model Comparison by Tier: Lennox XC13 versus Lennox XC14
The XC13 and XC14 are nearly identical in terms of price, features, technologies, warranty, and more. The main difference between the two is that the XC14 has a slightly higher SEER rating, so it costs $100 to $200 more than the XC13.
