In order to help homeowners shop for furnaces and air conditioners, we developed our own proprietary algorithms which weigh a range of criteria and factors to provide an easy-to-compare grade (e.g. B-, A+, etc).
Warranty Grade: It can be difficult to know which brands and models offer the best warranty coverage, particularly because a lot of the key details are hidden in dense warranty documents filled with hard to understand legalese. Thankfully for you, we’ve carefully studied them and created this grading system to account for things like the length AND quality of their guarantee, coverage restrictions and more!
Overall Grade: This grade weighs key factors like efficiency, ENERGY STAR certification, comfort, noise level (for A/Cs), our warranty grade, and more.

Coleman AC19 Product Specifications:
Compressor: Two-stage
SEER: Up to 19
ENERGY STAR® certified: Yes
Decibel rating: As low as 67

Features Overview
The AC19 is all about quiet comfort, so it’s equipped with WhisperDrive features that reduce noise, like the composite base, sound enclosure, and swept wing fan blade design. The two-stage compressor also reduces noise levels, because it can operate at a lower, quieter setting most of the time and only ramp up to a higher speed as necessary to accommodate changes in temperature or thermostat settings. This also increases the efficiency of the AC19, and allows for better humidity control compared to a single-stage model. And for the ultimate comfort control, you can pair the AC19 with the Echelon Hx3 thermostat so you can manage temperature settings remotely using your smartphone.

Warranty Information
The AC19 is backed by an excellent warranty that will protect you in case anything goes wrong with the unit in the first 10 years, or if the compressor should fail at any point during the unit’s lifetime. The warranties backing the AC19 are a 90-day labour limited warranty, a 10-year parts limited warranty, and a lifetime limited warranty for the compressor. These are registered warranty terms, however, meaning you must register the AC19 within 90 days of installation to be eligible for these extended terms.
Comparable Models by Coleman
Model Comparison by Price: Coleman AC19 versus Coleman TCHD
The AC19 is one of the most expensive models that Coleman offers, so you'll spend at least $1,000 more for this more advanced model compared to one of their more basic air conditioners, such as the TCHD. The entry-level model, however, only has a single-stage compressor, a SEER rating of 13, and doesn’t have the same warranty coverage as the AC19. Because of the lower efficiency rating and shorter warranty terms, you could end up spending more in the long run on the TCHD because of higher cooling bills and potential repair costs.
Model Comparison by Features: Coleman AC19 versus Coleman CC7
As one of Coleman’s top-tier air conditioners, the AC19 offers more features than most of their other models, including the LX series CC7. Unlike the AC19, the CC7 only has a single-stage compressor, so it’s louder, not quite as efficient, and can’t offer the same humidity and temperature control. The CC7’s warranty terms aren't as good either, as the compressor warranty expires after 10 years. However, the CC7 does have many of the same durability features and similar noise-reducing components, and it costs about $500 less than the AC19.
Model Comparison by Tier: Coleman AC19 versus Coleman AC21
The AC19 and AC21 are both premium offerings from Coleman, but the AC21 is the more advanced model in several ways. For one thing, it has a superior variable-speed compressor that can make minor adjustments to the cooling output to maximize efficiency, performance, and comfort. The variable-speed compressor is also better at humidity control and temperature consistency, and boasts even quieter operation than the AC19’s two-stage compressor. The AC21 has a SEER rating of 20, so it can potentially save you even more on energy bills, but it does come with a price tag that’s at least $500 more than the AC19.
