Registration is required
The extended terms above apply only if the unit is registered within 60 days of installation — a shorter window than the 90 days some competing brands allow, so it's best handled at the time of install. Homeowners in Quebec are exempt from the registration requirement under provincial consumer protection law and receive the extended coverage automatically. Labour is not included on any model.
The single-stage gap worth knowing
The most important caveat in Goodman's heat pump range is that single-stage models carry no compressor warranty and no unit replacement coverage — only the parts warranty extends with registration.
