Coleman's heat pump warranty depends on which part of the lineup you're in, and the differences are real. All coverage is a limited warranty and, in most cases, the strong numbers only apply once the unit is registered.
Ducted models carry 5 years on parts and 5 years on the compressor as a base, extending to 10 years on both with registration. The communicating HC19 and HC20 do better — a 10-year base compressor that becomes a limited lifetime compressor when registered. Ductless mini-splits start at 5 years parts / 7 years compressor, extend to 10/10 with registration, and uniquely include a 10-year labour allowance that the ducted models don't get.

Registration is required
The extended terms above are the reason to register. Ducted models must be registered within 90 days of installation; ductless within 60 days. Miss the window and coverage drops to the shorter base terms. The 90-day ducted window is more generous than the 60 days several premium brands allow, so it's less of a trap than it can be elsewhere. Homeowners in Quebec are exempt from registration under provincial consumer-protection law and receive the full extended coverage automatically.
How it compares
Once registered, Coleman's terms are competitive: the 10/10 baseline matches Carrier and Bryant, the lifetime compressor on communicating models matches the best in the category, and the 10-year ductless labour allowance is something most brands — including many premium ones — simply don't offer. Where Coleman falls short is labour on ducted systems (not included at all) and the absence of the lifetime unit-replacement coverage that Amana and Daikin build into their top tiers.
