The Infinity Greenspeed 98 – 59MN7 is Carrier’s top-of-the-line unit, so no other model has as many features as this. So let’s have a look at what you get when you spend less on a Carrier.

The Comfort 92 – 59SC2 is their entry-level model. It’s only a single-stage furnace with a multi-speed blower motor, it only has an AFUE of 92.1 percent, and it’s not compatible with the brand’s premium technologies.

What all this means is the Comfort furnace won’t be as capable of keeping your whole house at the right temperature, especially larger homes, it won’t save you as much on energy bills, it won’t manage humidity as well, and it probably won’t be eligible for rebates.

In fact, it no longer meets the Canadian government’s 2019 efficiency minimum of 95%, so it’s probably not a good option for Canadian homes.
