In order to help homeowners shop for furnaces and air conditioners, we developed our own proprietary algorithms which weigh a range of criteria and factors to provide an easy-to-compare grade (e.g. B-, A+, etc).
Warranty Grade: It can be difficult to know which brands and models offer the best warranty coverage, particularly because a lot of the key details are hidden in dense warranty documents filled with hard to understand legalese. Thankfully for you, we’ve carefully studied them and created this grading system to account for things like the length AND quality of their guarantee, coverage restrictions and more!
Overall Grade: This grade weighs key factors like efficiency, ENERGY STAR certification, comfort, noise level (for A/Cs), our warranty grade, and more.

The Infinity 24ANB7**C from Carrier is a premium two-stage air conditioner. Along with offering great efficiency, cost-savings on your cooling bills, and excellent durability, the 24ANB7**C also has one other special feature: it has been specifically designed to survive in harsh coastal environments. All Carrier air conditioners are built for reliable and lasting performance, but the 24ANB7**C has even more durability features that help it combat corrosion from salt and other contaminants, ensuring you get the most years from your cooling system, even if you live right on the ocean.

In Depth Review
Infinity 24ANB7**C Product Specifications:
Compressor: Two-stage
SEER: Up to 17
ENERGY STAR® certified: Yes
Decibel rating: As low as 67
Tonnage: 2 to 5 tonnes
Features Overview
Designed for coastal climates: Coastal regions are notoriously hard on materials, so the 24ANB7**C has been specially designed to withstand these harsh climates. It's equipped with the WeatherShield protection package, which includes ArmorPlate coating for the coil and complete paint coverage on the exterior of the unit so that it can resist corrosion and contaminants found in the air.
Advanced humidity control: The two-stage compressor in the 24ANB7**C is better at temperature maintenance and humidity control than a standard single-stage compressor. The 24ANB7**C is also compatible with the IdealHumidity System, which controls the humidity level in your home independently of your cooling system and makes it easier for the 24ANB7**C to cool your home.
Superior durability: The 24ANB7**C has many features that make the unit resilient and deliver lasting performance, including a baked-on powder paint, galvanized steel cabinet, coil guard, filter drier to prevent moisture damage, and high- and low-pressure switches that prevent damage to the unit.
Other Key Features
- High-level advanced diagnostic intelligence
- Improved air quality thanks to Air Cleaner, coil UV lamp, and ventilator
- The system uses a refrigerant that doesn't contribute to ozone depletion
- Quiet performance thanks to sound-reducing technologies like a special fan design, components that reduce vibration, and a sound-insulating blanket for the compressor
Warranty Information
Carrier air conditioners are backed by a 10-year limited parts warranty and limited compressor warranty. Because of the special nature of the 24ANB7**C, it also comes with an additional five-year coastal corrosion parts limited warranty that isn't standard with Carrier's other cooling systems. Beyond that, there's also an additional labour warranty you can purchase separately for extra protection.
Comparable Models by Carrier
Model Comparison by Price: Infinity 24ANB7**C versus Comfort 24ABB3
The Comfort 24ABB3 is the most affordable model that Carrier offers, and it belongs to their low-tier offering. Although you'll save plenty on upfront costs with this model versus the Infinity 24ANB7**C, you won't save nearly as much on monthly energy bills, because the Comfort 24ABB3 only has a SEER rating of 13. It also only has a single-stage compressor that isn't as efficient, as quiet, or as good at maintaining temperature and humidity levels.
Model Comparison by Features: Infinity 24ANB7**C versus Infinity 24ANB7
The Infinity 24ANB7**C and 24ANB7 are very similar models in many ways. They have the same efficiency rating, decibel rating, compressor style, and durability and quiet performance features. However, the 24ANB7 does not have the same coastal protection measures as the 24ANB7**C, so it wouldn't be as suitable if you live near the ocean. For that matter, the 24ANB7**C is the only air conditioner in the Carrier line that offers the coastal protection features.
Model Comparison by Tier: Infinity 24ANB7**C versus Infinity 24ANB6
Both the Infinity 24ANB7**C and 24ANB6 are premium models, but the 24ANB7**C is superior in several ways. For one, it has the two-stage compressor, whereas the 24ANB6 has a less advanced single-stage compressor. It also has a slightly lower SEER rating, doesn't have the additional five-year warranty, and doesn't have the same special design to protect against coastal corrosion.
